Mecklenburg Oktoberfest | October 7
The day will begin with the Pink Cupcake Walk for Breast Cancer benefiting Go Jen Go, rolling into the Charlotte Knights Pumpkin Patch. Autumn Treasures Fall Festival | October 8 -9
Stroll the streets of downtown Waxhaw during their annual Autumn Treasures two-day event. Their biggest festival of the year, Autumn Treasures offers a lively atmosphere with a little something for everyone.
2nd Friday Street Festival | October 13
Head to downtown Cornelius for the 2nd Friday Street Festival. October is the final month to enjoy live music, food trucks, breweries, vendors, kids activities, and more at this free family event.
Movies in the Park | October 13
Bring the family out to enjoy Movies in the Park at Fountain Park. Be sure to stop in at the local downtown businesses and restaurants before tuning in to Rock Hill's monthly flick.
11th Annual Laketoberfest | October 14
This annual community event in Cornelius features live music, beer from local NC breweries, a variety of great food trucks, kid's zone with crafts and games, axe throwing, and free admission and parking.
Catawba Fest | October 14
Located at Tega Cay’s newest attraction, Catawba Park, Catawba Fest will feature an arts and crafts show, an eating contest, a FREE kid’s zone, and a cool selection of entertainment locally and across the region.
Fall for Matthews | October 14
"Fall" in love with Matthews during this Fall Festival. Expect arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, a DJ, a Sip & Stroll, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and a children's area!
Indian Trail Halloween Spooktacular | October 20
I.T.'s brewing up something spooky. Enjoy a night full of friendly ghosts, goblins, and favorite characters. They will have a trunk or treat line, activities, contests, DJs, and more. All events are FREE to attend.
Walk to End Alzheimer's | October 21
With its mission of fighting for a different future, this annual walk starts at Truist Field and is open for registration now.
Pop Up Picnic | October 21
Come spread a blanket and enjoy a relaxing evening outside with family and friends in support of our local green spaces and trails! This free, family-friendly community picnic is open to all and takes place at Metropolitan, just steps away from the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
Guts Pumpkin Carving Exhibition | October 21

Halloween in Huntersville | October 28

Boollantyne Halloween Experience | October 27
Kick off Halloween weekend at a SPOOKtacular family-friendly experience at The Amp in partnership with Charlotte Is Creative. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Costumes are encouraged. Food truck options, beer, and wine will be available on-site for purchase.
Boo's & Boats Trunk or Treat | October 29
